Carl I Walters II. is a former United States Naval Officer (Medical Service Corp; Hospital Administration trained) known and respected for his leadership acumen to re-engineering multi-million-dollar integrated healthcare delivery systems. To date, Mr. Walters has re-engineered, stabilized, and grown 12 multi-million-dollar integrated healthcare delivery systems from the brink of complete collapse. His C-suite leadership assignments include a unique blend of For-Profit, Not-For-Profit, and faith-based healthcare leadership roles. His no-nonsense, disciplined transformative leadership style is best utilized by organizations desiring to revitalize their system leadership teams; improve their operating margin, improve their revenue cycle metrics, improve their organizational revenue streams, diversify their organizational revenue streams and/or to improve their organizational community confidence and/or corresponding market share. He has been recognized by community, State and Federal legislative officials for his operational re-engineering expertise as well as for his ongoing efforts to increase funding and corresponding access to high-quality, cost-effective medical services for our nation’s most vulnerable patient populations.
Mr. Walters commenced his career as a Medical Assistant working in a variety of Skilled Nursing Facilities while he pursued his Bachelor’s Degree in Hospital Administration. He also served as a Biller/Coder/Collector at one of Utah’s largest specialty care provider groups. He then was competitively selected to serve as a United States Naval Officer; where he subsequently trained as a Hospital Administrator. While in the Navy, Mr. Walters was selected to command two medical units as a Junior Naval Officer. After completing his three-year active duty obligation, Mr. Walters went on to successfully accept and serve in the following leadership roles:
