Brett Bennett, OD
OPTOMETRIST
Dr. Brett Bennett, a native of Pineville, joined Louisiana Eye & Laser Center in 2015. A graduate of Pineville High School, he earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from the University of Louisiana at Monroe and received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston.
Dr. Bennett provides comprehensive eye care to patients of all ages, with clinical interests in ocular disease management, specialty contact lenses, pediatrics, traumatic brain injury, and care for patients with special needs. He serves as the Director of Optometry at Louisiana Eye and Laser Center, one of the largest practices in Louisiana.
Committed to advancing the profession of optometry, Dr. Bennett serves as an adjunct professor for fourth-year students at the University of Houston College of Optometry, where he enjoys mentoring and investing in future optometrists. He currently serves as President of the Optometry Association of Louisiana, having previously held the roles of Secretary/Treasurer, President-Elect, and Central Society President/Chair. In 2024, he was honored as Louisiana’s Young OD of the Year.
Outside of his professional responsibilities, Dr. Bennett enjoys spending time with his wife and children, working out, hunting, fishing, and playing frisbee golf.
