David L. Barnes Jr. , MD

David Barnes, Jr., M.D. received his medical degree from LSU Medical Center in Shreveport. After completing his internship at Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Dr. Barnes completed his Ophthalmology residency at Louisiana State University Health Shreveport. Dr. Barnes is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Louisiana Academy of Eye Physicians & Surgeons, as well as the American Medical Association. Dr. Barnes specializes in diseases and surgery of the eye, including LASIK and Intralase surgery, no-stitch and bladeless cataract surgery, corneal disease, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and retinal disease. Dr. Barnes also performs cosmetic oculoplastic surgery.
